Romilly Investment Management, LLC is a boutique investment manager founded in 2024 and based in Los Angeles, California. The firm specializes in event-driven public equities including but not limited to those undergoing mergers, bankruptcies, restructurings, activist campaigns, or regulatory situations. Romilly Event Fund, LP, the primary investment vehicle, is long biased with limited leverage and holds the vast majority of the manager’s wealth.
Blake Hekmatpour, CFA is the Founder and Chief Investment Officer of Romilly. Before launching the firm, Blake was a Senior Associate at Canyon Capital Advisors specializing in distressed debt and merger arbitrage. He was the youngest member hired on the hedge fund team. Prior to Canyon, Blake worked in the Investment Banking Division of Goldman Sachs focusing on leveraged finance. Blake graduated with a B.S. in Business concentrating in Finance, Accounting, and Data Science and a M.S. in Accounting from the NYU Stern School of Business. He is a CFA® Charterholder and passed the FINRA SIE, Series 63, Series 65, and Series 79 exams.
